1. Hitech Financial Accounting supports the date formats supported by window opearting system. The windows date system can be set to DMY / MDY or any other date format. To set the date format to DMY start up Control panel from the Program Manager. Click on the icon : International. Change the date format to DMY. Also you can make the setting so that the date is displyed as DD/MM/YYYY or MM/DD/YYYY to keep uniformity with the date system of Hitech Financial Accounting.
2. Hitech Financial Accounting is equipped with Multiple Document Interface (MDI). You can open many reports at a time and keep the open for further rewiew. All these windows which are open at a time are added in the main menu Utility . You can switch to any of the window using the menu command. Also you can cascade all the open windows using the menu command Cacade All Open Windows.
3. The main program window display a background image. You can enable this background image using the menu command

4. The program displays
popup menus which can be displayed using the right mouse button or key combination of Shift + Alt.
5. Print command is linked with Hitech Print Engine which is capable of printing both in Windows as well as in DOS mode while remaining in Windows. It provides speed, quality as required. Printing in DOS mode provides fast printing. In DOS mode you have to specify whether you want the print out in compressed mode or normal mode . You can have the company name header in large fonts. Printing done in Windows mode, uses its own special fonts, which provides quality of printing. The print dialougue has the check box marked Produce fast print output . If this option is checked printing is done in draft mode (DOS like) on dot matrix printer. This is most cost effective for bulk printing.
6. The program includes built in tools like Information Export Panel Information Export Panel that allows you to export all reports from to program to Printer with print preview, email, MS Excel, MS Word, CSV Text and also upload to web using FTP. All reports can be displayed in grid as well as in list view (sort-able) format.
7. Another tool included with the program is
Communication Control that is linked to party (customer, supplier, employee etc.) records. You can write a communication using word, excel or notepad or send an email to a party. The communication is linked with the party record and can be re-accessed again. Also telephone numbers can be dialed by click of a button using the computer modem.
